Staying Safe

We have been working to create a safe work environment, with strict Covid-19 protocols set by Health Canada in place to keep our seniors safe, our team and our partners safe as well.

High Standards

We are dedicated to providing  quality high standards, with extra focus and precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, and other respiratory viruses.

We are there to assist your residents with their move requirements.

Precautions

Below is an update on our new protocol of precautions and preventative measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19.  We continue to use extreme caution in all our interactions with our clients and their family members.

PREVENTION remains our best strategy as we to follow the advice of our local Public Health Units and Health Canada. Effective immediately,  ACTIVE SCREENING will take place prior to all our interactions with clients, their family members, and other members of the community.

Your health and safety is our #1 priority

What is our Screening Process?
All employees will be screened prior to interacting with our clients.

All clients will be screened by phone prior to any meetings with RTS staff and prior to all scheduled Moving Days where our staff are to be interacting with our clients and their family members.

Our Screening Staff will ask everyone about potential symptoms of COVID-19, specifically, if they have:

  • New onset cough
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Fever
  • Recent travel history to affected areas
  • Contact with people diagnosed with COVID-19

Anyone who fails any part of the screening process will be asked to reschedule the meeting / move / work day as required, and to contact local tele-health, Public Health Unit, and Physician.

We keep upto date on updates from provincial and federal public health authorities ensuring we have the most current information possible. Your safety and the safety of our staff are of the utmost importance to Residential Transitions for Seniors.

PREVENTION MEASURES:

  • Regular hand-washing with soap and water, and the use of hand sanitizer (when soap and water are not available)
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Practice good coughing etiquette (cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue, then discard the tissue in a lined trash bin and wash your hands immediately)
  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Our staff practice social distancing so don't be offended if we don't shake your hand or ask you to step back
  • Get the flu shot
  • We will ask you to minimize the number of people in your home during the move
  • Increased cleaning of all supplies and of our truck and vehicles

We thank you for your cooperation in assisting us with maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for everyone. We look forward to moving safely through your upcoming move and making this transition an easy one for you.
